Quotes and planning.
How do I get a quote?
Fill out the quote form with your project details and the zip code where the building will go, or call us at (800) 601-5582. Tell us whether you need an erection-only quote for a building you've already bought, a building-only quote, or both. You can also design your building in our online 3D design tool and submit it for a quote.
What information do you need to quote my project?
The site address or zip code, what the building will be used for, the approximate size and eave height, and the accessories you want: walk doors, windows, overhead or roll-up doors and anything else. Tell us whether you've already purchased the building, and send drawings or a manufacturer's quote if you have them.
I already bought a building from another supplier. Can you erect it?
Yes. We've worked with virtually every major pre-engineered metal building manufacturer, so there's no learning curve on your site. We can unload the building at delivery, verify anchor bolts and erect it start to finish. See our metal building erection service.
I haven't bought a building yet. Can you help?
Yes. We help you design, spec and purchase the right building, then erect it to your specifications. If you're comparing quotes from manufacturers or brokers, we can review them to make sure you're buying the right building before you commit.
Can I design my building online?
Yes. Our 3D design tool lets you pick a roof style, set dimensions, add doors and windows, and save or share your plans. When you're ready, submit it and we'll prepare a quote.
Our scope of work.
What does metal building erection include?
Full-service erection covers unloading, anchor bolt verification, framing, sheeting, trim and accessory installation. We stay with the project from delivery through final completion, on every building type we erect.
Do you pour the foundation and slab?
No. We don't do concrete work ourselves. We refer you to our preferred concrete contractor, and we offer anchor bolt inspections before the concrete cures, since anchor bolt placement is one of the most expensive mistakes on a metal building project.
Do you install doors, windows and insulation?
Yes. Our crews install windows, walk doors, vents, insulation and other accessories. Overhead and roll-up doors are installed by our dedicated overhead door crew, including as a standalone service for shops and garages.
Do you finish the interior?
In many areas, yes. Depending on your location, we can coordinate the interior finish through trusted local trades, or deliver the engineered shell if you plan to finish it yourself. Ask us about your site.
Do you repair metal buildings?
Yes, depending on the size, scope and location of the job. Our repair work carries a 1-year workmanship warranty. Call us to talk through yours.
What if parts are missing when my building is delivered?
We recommend inventorying your building before we arrive. If we find anything missing, we'll let you know and help you work with your manufacturer to get it.
Price and timing.
How much does metal building erection cost?
Our erection prices typically range from $5 to $20 per square foot. Where your project lands depends on the building plans, size, eave height and accessories, plus your site's snow and wind loads. The building itself and the foundation are separate costs. Send us your plans and location and we'll quote it.
How long does erection take?
Once materials are on site, a 40x60 building typically takes 6 to 10 days, a 50x100 takes 12 to 16 days, and a 100x100 takes 24 to 30 days. These are averages. Your quote comes with a real start and completion date, not an open-ended schedule.
How far ahead should I schedule?
We're typically about two months out to schedule an erection, though openings sometimes come up sooner, so it pays to call early. If a crew can start right away, it's worth asking why: experienced erection crews are usually booked ahead.
The paperwork.
Do you provide drawings for the permit?
Yes. We deliver engineered, stamped drawings built to the city or county that governs your site.
Who pulls the building permit?
You do, as the owner. We're always happy to give guidance on what most counties and jurisdictions require.
Are you licensed where I'm building?
We hold licenses where the work requires them, and the rules vary by state and county. If you'd like to confirm our license where you're building, just ask.
What warranty do you offer?
Our erection, repair and overhead door installation work carries a 1-year workmanship warranty. Buildings we sell also come with the manufacturer's lifetime structural warranty and a 30 to 40 year panel warranty. Concrete isn't covered, since we refer that work to an independent contractor.
Which manufacturers do you work with?
We've erected buildings from virtually every major pre-engineered metal building manufacturer, including Great Western Building Systems, Butler Manufacturing, Nucor Building Systems, American Buildings Company, Chief Buildings, Behlen Building Systems, B&C Steel Corporation, Metal Building Outlet, Whirlwind Steel Buildings, Olympia Buildings and Rhino Steel Building Systems.
Where and how big.
Where do you build?
Colorado is home, with more than 40 projects across the Front Range, Colorado Springs, the High Country and the Western Slope. We also build in New Mexico (including Albuquerque), Utah, Wyoming, Montana and Arizona, and we travel anywhere in the lower 48 for projects of 10,000 square feet and larger.
What size buildings do you erect?
Any size, from 1,000-square-foot workshops to large commercial and industrial facilities. Our largest single building to date is 100,000 square feet. See common metal building sizes to get started.
