Metal Building Erection Company
Mountain State Construction is a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) erector. Whether you already bought your building or need help choosing one, our crews unload it, verify the anchor bolts and erect it start to finish, with a real start and completion date in your quote.
What erection includes.
We stay with your building from the day the truck arrives through final completion. Every step is built to the engineered drawings for your site, on every building type we erect.
Unloading at Delivery
We unload your building when it arrives. We recommend you inventory it before we get there, and if anything is missing we'll flag it and help you work with your manufacturer to get it.
Anchor Bolt Verification
Bolt placement is one of the most expensive mistakes on a metal building project. We verify it, and we offer anchor bolt inspections before the concrete cures.
Framing
Columns, rafters, girts and purlins erected plumb and square to your building's engineered drawings.
Sheeting & Trim
Wall and roof panels, trim and flashing installed to close in the building and finish it cleanly.
Accessories
Windows, walk doors, vents, insulation and other accessories installed as part of the erection.
Overhead Doors
Overhead and roll-up doors installed by our dedicated overhead door crew, so the openings and the structure work together.
Any manufacturer. No learning curve.
Erection-only work is a big part of what we do. We've erected buildings from virtually every major pre-engineered metal building manufacturer, including Great Western Building Systems, Butler Manufacturing, Nucor Building Systems, American Buildings Company, Chief Buildings, Behlen Building Systems, B&C Steel Corporation, Metal Building Outlet, Whirlwind Steel Buildings, Olympia Buildings and Rhino Steel Building Systems. Haven't bought yet? We'll help you design, spec and purchase the right building, and review manufacturer or broker quotes before you commit. You can start in our 3D design tool.

Erection pricing and timing depend on your building plans, size, eave height and accessories, plus your site's snow and wind loads. The building itself and the foundation are separate costs. These are our typical numbers; your quote gives your actual price and dates.
Erection Cost
Typically $5 to $20 per square foot, depending on the plans and accessories.
40x60 Building
About 6 to 10 days once materials are on site. See our 40x60 metal building builds.
50x100 Building
About 12 to 16 days once materials are on site.
100x100 Building
About 24 to 30 days once materials are on site.
Scheduling
We're typically about two months out, though openings sometimes come up sooner. If a crew can start tomorrow, it's worth asking why.
Real Dates
Your quote comes with a real start and completion date, not an open-ended schedule.

Erection FAQ.
Can you erect a building I bought from another supplier?
Yes. We've worked with virtually every major pre-engineered metal building manufacturer, so there's no learning curve on your site. We can unload the building at delivery, verify anchor bolts and erect it start to finish.
How much does metal building erection cost?
Our erection prices typically range from $5 to $20 per square foot, depending on the building plans, size, eave height and accessories. The building and the foundation are separate costs.
How long does it take to erect a metal building?
Once materials are on site, a 40x60 typically takes 6 to 10 days, a 50x100 takes 12 to 16 days, and a 100x100 takes 24 to 30 days. These are averages; your quote gives your dates.
Do you pour the foundation?
No. We refer you to our preferred concrete contractor, and we offer anchor bolt inspections before the concrete cures so the building sets right.
Who pulls the building permit?
You do, as the owner. We're always happy to give guidance on what most counties and jurisdictions require.
What warranty comes with erection?
Our erection work carries a 1-year workmanship warranty. Buildings we sell also come with the manufacturer's lifetime structural warranty and a 30 to 40 year panel warranty. More answers are on our metal building FAQ.
